The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments and Supplements to Clause 212 of the Family Code of Ukraine (re Adoption)

The bill (Reg. No.4313) supplements Clause 212 of the applicable Law determining the persons who can not be adopters with the following phrase: "who are citizens and permanently reside in the countries that have not concluded the agreements on cooperation in adoption with Ukraine, except when the citizens concerned are the relatives of a child or are married to the father of mother of a child. The ban on adoption is also extended on the stateless persons."
